Metrology Room: maximum precision guaranteed

The metrology room is a climate-controlled environment equipped with the instruments and tools required for precision dimensional inspection and testing. Upon request, we can provide a detailed control plan for the inspected parts.
This space is a key element of our company’s quality management strategy, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and enabling full dimensional certification of components.

The metrology room includes the following equipment:

ZEISS CONTURA RDS CMM (COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE)

Equipped with a rotating RDS head and continuous scanning Vast XXT sensor, this system enables the measurement of all geometric and dimensional features of mechanical components, regardless of their orientation.
It is particularly well suited for complex measurements requiring high-accuracy and allows for both single and series measurements in one setup, with high speed execution.

ZEISS COMET 8M

The Zeiss Comet 8M is a system that allows fast and accurate 3D mapping of components, delivering rapid yet highly precise measurements.
Its ultra-compact 3D sensor offers great flexibility and high speed. The high-speed camera capable of capturing up to 8 million points per scan and the system’s high-intensity lighting enable rapid adaptation to changes in vibration and exposure. This ensures precise 3D data acquisition across all surface types and materials.

Thanks to its compact and lightweight design, the Comet 8M is ideal for use both in the metrology lab and directly on the shop floor, allowing in process inspection at the machine.
Once the component is scanned, the system converts the geometries into a 3D file that can be overlaid with the original CAD drawing for validation.

This technology is especially effective for dimensional checks on complex and highly intricate geometries that cannot be measured with the Zeiss Contura RDS, which is better suited for components with clearly defined dimensional tolerances.
