DESIGN

Design, simulation, analysis and production control

Within our workshop, we rely on advanced CAD/CAM software to manage increasingly complex machining operations with high production and process efficiency, while constantly improving the quality of the final product.

In particular, our long-standing collaboration with Open Mind allows us to use hyperMILL for CNC programming, hyperMILL® VIRTUAL Machining Center for simulation and pre-production analysis, and hyperMILL® PROBING for in-process probing and part verification—directly on the machine—through precise comparison between the finished part and the original technical drawing.

We benefit from the full range of update and optimization strategies provided by Open Mind across all its applications.

CAD/CAM PROGRAMMING

Since 2008, we have been working with hyperMILL® by Open Mind, a modular and flexible CAD/CAM solution that has significantly boosted our competitiveness and expanded our service offering.
This system interfaces seamlessly with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers, allowing us to perform milling, turning, and advanced machining operations while providing our customers with a complete, accurate, and timely service.
It also enables optimal use of internal resources, significantly improving both programming and machining times, and maintaining a high level of competitiveness in the industry.

hyperMILL® VIRTUAL MACHINING CENTER

We are the first company in Tuscany to implement the hyperMILL® VIRTUAL Machining Center, a simulation and predictive analysis system that helps us minimize inefficiencies and eliminate errors.
This solution provides highly accurate and safe simulations, as the virtual machine movements perfectly replicate the real-world kinematics of our machining centers.

hyperMILL® PROBING

hyperMILL® PROBING by Open Mind is the CAM solution we use to program in-process probing and measurement routines directly on the machine tool. It reduces production time and enhances the quality control of the final part.

This tool allows us to measure the raw material before machining begins and, more importantly, to detect cutting inaccuracies or defects from casting or welding processes.
It performs an intermediate inspection immediately after roughing or semi-finishing. The results are sent directly to the machine’s control system, enabling automatic compensation of any deviations during subsequent machining stages.
At the end of the process, hyperMILL® PROBING carries out the final and most critical check: the finished part is compared to the CAD model using a theoretical-to-actual inspection. Probes measure various parameters directly on the machine, ensuring process reliability and giving us greater control over the quality of the finished component.
